| Borchers® Deca Barium 12.5 | OMG Borchers GmbH | Borchers® Deca Barium 12.5 is a highly efficient secondary drier. Barium improves through drying and has good pigment wetting properties. Borchers® Deca driers are metal salts of neodecanoic acids. Barium is used as a wetting agent for pigments and extenders in solvent based coatings systems. It improves gloss and prevents adsorption of the primary driers by pigments and extenders thereby increasing coating stability during prolonged storage. In combination with Borchi® OXY - Coat, Borchers® Deca Cobalt or Borchers® Deca Manganese, barium has a similar effect to that of lead and will promote through drying in many formulations.
