Siltech® PTM is a phenyl-modified siloxane with a high refractive index. It is soluble in both alcohol and mineral oil and compatible with many waxes. It exhibits a high refractive index resulting in high gloss and shine in hair care applications, in addition to mild conditioning. Compatibility with numerous personal care ingredients lends well to formulating across conditioners, styling agents and fixatives. In skin care Siltech® PTM elicits improved spreading in creams and lotions and provides a non- tacky finish. The product is ideally suited as a compatibilizer.
