DM57M5

DM57M5 is a thick, semi-translucent liquid that has a characteristic odor and is composed of Dimethicone and Silica. This product is a Fumed Silica Gellant. This high purity silica, with aggregate length of approximately 0.3 microns, is supplied in a pre-dispersed, homogenized form making it an easily manageable, dust free product.

It is characterized visually as clear, acts as a viscosity boosting agent in liquid systems, and tends toward shear-thinning behavior. From an applications perspective, DM57M5 has the ability to facilitate shine making it excellent for use in lip gloss, lipstick and hot pours. Pigment suspensions, emulsions, and gels are other areas of favorable use for this product.
