PT789 is a chlorine free, ready for use, cationic melamine formaldehyde colloid in aqueous solution. PT789 is used to impart wet strength to a wide variety of paper and paperboard products from heavy duty towels and wipes to wallpapers, envelopes and sack-krafts, when such products are made at pH levels below neutral. Since PT789 is a melamine resin, it is particularly suited to the production of higher quality, more demanding paper products such as hot-filters, laundry-tag, currency, security and bottle label papers.
