Because of its chemical structure, it tend to be dissolved in water. It could replace NVP in most formulations, as well as water soluble UV application. Good control of the reaction is possible due to the slower esterification rate of the tertiary carboxyl, assuring a uniform distribution of carboxyl groups along the resin backbone.
