DT-1201 - Acoustic & Electroacoustic Spectrometer uses acoustic and electroacoustic spectrometry to measure both particle size and zeta potential in very concentrated suspensions (up to 50 vol%) over a size range of 5nm-100µm. Acoustic measurements provide a wealth of information beyond particle size and zeta potential. For well developed applications, acoustic parameters can be correlated to other product variables.
It's advantages over light based techniques include: no dilution needed the sample is measured in native state, it is much less sensitive to contamination, there is no calibration needed, higher precision and wide size range from 5nm to 100 microns. DT-1201 measures sound attenuation and velocity of any fluid like material, gels and milk, for example.
