Se fabrica con isocianatos alifáticos; por lo tanto, no influye negativamente en el amarilleo ni el caleo de la película de revestimiento. Una mínima cantidad de Borchi® Gel LW 44 espesa significativamente la fase acuosa. El líquido resultante es un pseudoplástico, es decir, su viscosidad es inversamente proporcional a su velocidad de corte. Borchi® Gel LW 44 es, por lo tanto, especialmente apto para aplicaciones de baja viscosidad, como aplicaciones de revestimiento por rociado o inmersión de sistemas de pintura a base de agua y emulsificable en agua (pinturas de acabado e imprimaciones), sistemas acuosos a base de poliuretano de dos componentes, sistemas epoxi de dos componentes y sistemas de poliéster.
