SpecKare® CB (Cetrimonium Bromide) is a quaternary ammonium salt used as a cosmetic biocide, anti-static agent, cleaning, emulsifying, and suspending agent. Freshstat™ Plus has been specifically designed for use in anionic surfactant systems which need added preservation against mold in pH systems that are <6.0. Surfactant based shampoos, body washes, and hand soaps preserved with Freshstat™ alone may not be adequate enough to pass the microbial efficacy testing for Aspergillus brasiliensis.
