SpecKare® CB (Cetrimonium Bromide) is a quaternary ammonium salt used as a cosmetic biocide, anti-static agent, cleaning, emulsifying, and suspending agent. It is stable at acidic pH, with an optimum biocide pH (4-10). It is soluble in alcohol and somewhat soluble in water and acetone, but it is not soluble in benzene or ether.
