Lanolin Anhydrous DC is essentially water-free wool wax consists of a highly refined fat-like substance that is pale yellow, tenacious, unctuous with a faint and characteristic odor. Chemically, it is a complex mixture of esters of aliphatic alcohols, sterols and fatty acids. Anhydrous Lanolin has emulsifying properties forming stable w/o type emulsions. It has a water absorption capacity of up to two or more times of its weight. Anhydrous Lanolin is an effective emollient for the skin. It is a basic ingredient of most cosmetic and pharmaceutical products.
Lanolin Anhydrous DC is the highest grade with lighter colored lanolin manufactured to fully meet the specification of the 10th edition of European Pharmacopoeia.
