Its purity and technical data meet the requirements of European Pharmacopoeia for cetyl palmitate and for USP for cetyl esters. Kahlwax 7157 is suitable as a viscosity agent for cosmetic and pharmaceutical preparations. Comparisons with sperm oil have shown thickening properties of Kahlwax 7157 in W/O emulsions are slightly better. view less
