It is a solvent-free, colourless to yellowish liquid of low viscosity at temperatures above 15°C that crystallizes at lower temperatures. It has an NCO content of 26.0 ± 1.0%, a vapor pressure at 20°C (MDI) of < 10^-5 hPa, and a density 25°C of 1.22g/cm^3. Desmodur® PC-N can be combined with Baycoll in the formulation of adhesives for bonding many materials, e.g. wood, metal and plastics. Desmodur® PC-N is particularly suitable for combining with Baycoll® in the formulation of reactive two-component adhesives and moisture-curing one-component adhesives. On account of the vapour pressure of MDI, especially at elevated temperatures, adhesives with free isocyanate groups can only be handled in work areas with adequate extraction. view less

It is a crosslinker for adhesives based on Desmocoll®, natural or synthetic rubber with special adhesion on rubber materials. It is a ellow-green or red-brown to dark violet liquid, but the colour does not influence the quality of the bonds. The product may contain flaky deposits. This product has an NCO content of 9.3 ± 0.2%, a non-volatile content of approx. 27%, and a density at 20°C approx. 1.0g/cm^3. After adding Desmodur® RE, the ready-to-use two-component adhesive must be used within its pot life. This is not only governed by the polymer content of the adhesive but also by its other components (resins, antioxidants, plasticisers, solvents, etc.). At the end of the pot life, usually several hours or one working day, the adhesive becomes in-creasingly difficult to work and its viscosity increases rapidly. Finally, irreversible gelling occurs. view less
