Desmodur® VL 51 is an aromatic polyisocyanate based on diphenylmethane diisocyanate used as a raw material in the formulation of self-levelling two-component polyurethane coatings and sealing compounds as well as solvent-free two-component polyurethane primers, and also as a component in the formulation of prepolymers. It is a brown liquid with a low viscosity at 25°C of 21.0 ± 5 mPa·s. This product has an acidity (HCI) of < 200mg/kg, an NCO of 32.5 ± 0.8%, and an equivalent weight of approx. 129.
Compared with Desmodur® VL, Desmodur® VL 51 has a lower viscosity when mixed with Desmophen® 1145, 1150, 5028 GT and 1380 BT. The end-products are more flexible than combinations with Desmodur® VL. A water scavenger such as molecular sieve paste® 3 Å must be added to the polyol component to prevent any undesired reaction of Desmodur® VL 51 with water. Desmodur® VL 51 is used in the formulation of prepolymers for one- and two-component coatings and for related applications. It has the advantage of easier handling.

Lists combine the ease of Bookmarks with the versatility of Tags. Instead of one collection of bookmarked items, create as many collections, called "Lists," as you need.
Find the link to your List page in the user menu.
All Tags have been converted to separate Lists, and your bookmarked items have been saved to a "Bookmarks" List.
When you click the Add to List button, a dropdown of your existing Lists appears. Click the List name to which you want to add this product or formula.
You can also create a new List. Simply click "Create a New List" and enter a name.
When you define a new List, the current item is automatically added to it. You can add a product or formula to as many Lists as you need.
Easily see which Lists this item appears in, and quickly go to that List from the links that appear on the page.
