This product has a non-volatile content (2g resin/2ml toluene/1h at 125°C, convection oven) of approx. 70%, a hydroxyl content (supply form) of approx. 2.5%, and an iodine color value (50% resin) of max. 2. Desmophen® PL 800 is characterised by excellent pigment wetting and gloss. It is therefore especially suitable for the formulation of high-gloss pigmented polyurethane finishes. Coatings formulated with Desmophen® PL 800 have low application viscosity and a long pot life, good yellowing resistance, excellent elasticity and high body. Generally speaking, the product has good compatibility. However, this should be tested in each individual case. view less

This product has a viscosity at 23°C of 10,000 ± 2,000 mPa·s, a non-volatile content (2g resin/2ml toluene/1h at 125°C, convection oven) of 75 ± 1, and an acid value (supply form) of 3.3 ± 0.2%. Desmophen® PL 817 is suitable for combination with highly condensed resins in the formulation of primers with a high solids content. No significant deterioration in reactivity, sandability or chemical resistance is observed compared with formulations based solely on this type of binder. In top coat formulations, Desmophen® PL 817 yields films with good surface hardness and matting. Generally speaking, Desmophen® PL 817 has good compatibility with a large number of physically drying binders (e.g. nitrocellulose). However, compatibility tests should be carried out in each individual case. view less

Desmophen® VP LS 2249/1 is used as the hardener component in weather-stable polyurethane systems. The preferred polyol combinations are mixtures with, for example, Desmophen® 1150 or Desmophen® C 1100. Desmophen® VP LS 2249/1 is used in the formulation of hard coatings, sealing compounds and mortars for decorative gravel. The aforementioned Desmodur® grades are among the suitable co-reactants. view less

This product has a non-volatile content (1g,1h,125°C) of 80 ± 2%, a viscosity at 23°C of 3,000 ± 500 mPa·s, an equivalent weight of approx. 450. Desmophen® VP LS 2388 is used primarily in combination with Desmodur® N 75 and Desmodur® N 3390 in the formulation of fast-drying, high-solids, two-component polyurethane coatings characterised by good lightfastness and weather stability, high film elasticity and good tar resistance. Of particular note is the better QUV performance and tar resistance compared with a Desmodur® N / Desmophen® 670 combination. The film elasticity values are comparable with those yielded by Desmophen® 670. view less
