Butyl Glycol Ether (BGE)

Butyl Glycol Ether (BGE) is a colorless, slight smelling liquid with a high boiling point. This product has small hygroscopic properties and is miscible with water at room temperature. This liquid solution is also miscible with several different oxygenated solvents, as well as with aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons and oils. It is solvent for many natural and synthetic resins, nitrocellulose and ethyl cellulose. Butyl Glycol Either (BGE) is primarily used as a solvent in printing inks, paints and coatings.
