Affipore™ is obtained from the leaves of Barosma betulina. It is a cosmetic active ingredient that inhibits the action of APN in the sebocyte membrane by blocking the peptide induced stimulation of APM. This triggers a series of cascade reactions within the cell, reaching the nucleus.
The result of this complex mechanism of action leads to an inhibition of differentiation and, therefore, of the amount of sebum secreted by the cell. By decreasing the final amount of sebum on the skin surface, there is an improvement in all signs of oily skin, reducing and refining enlarged and visible facial pores, mattifying shiny patches and eliminating the oily and shiny look and feel.
