Artichoke, Frozen Culinary Purée is a frozen product prepared from freshly harvested immature flowers of the globe artichoke plant which are washed, trimmed of the tough outer petals, blanched, cooled in a citric acid solution, sized and frozen in Chile or Peru then puréed with salt and citric acid and frozen at SupHerb Farms. This product is a pale grayish green color with a bittersweet and nutty flavor with a hint of citrus, and slightly acidic note, with a thick, creamy-smooth texture. This product adds interest to pasta and fillings, salads, frittatas, dips, soups, appetizers and stuffing, and is a great pizza topping. This product is GRAS, GMO free, and Kosher certified.
