It is a jet-milled version of the patented calcium phosphate and ion exchange technology. It is a non-toxic, anti-corrosive pigment. It is based on the synergy between an ion scavenging and passivation mechanism. HALOX® 430 JM is recommended for use in long-term applications where the use of heavy metals such as zinc, strontium, barium, molybdenum, and chromate is of concern. It is suitable for epoxy esters, moisture-cure polyurethanes, short-, medium- & long oil alkyds, and silicones. It can also be used in clear-, powder-, aerospace- & coil coatings and wash & etch primer. It offers significant advantages such as thin film applications (<10 microns), easier to disperse, cleaner grinds, and improved efficiency. The dosage level for the coating systems such as water- & solventborne 2K epoxy is 2-6% & 8-12% & for alkyds, modified alkyds, and 2K polyurethane is 2-6% & 6-10% respectively, for waterborne acrylic copolymer is 2-5% and for solvent-borne polyester melamine/TGIC is 6-9%. It has a shelf life of 36 months. view less Request Sample

It can boost the adhesion of the systems through the development of a sol-gel network and the formation of hydrophobic nano-domains within the coating. It is suitable for clear coats, direct-to-metal, latex primers, thin film coatings, acrylic emulsions, water-dispersible alkyds, alkyd emulsions, polyesters, epoxy, urethane, and high gloss coatings. It is easy to disperse, post-addable, and reduces white rust on galvanized and black rust on Galvalume™. It offers increased hydrophobicity, improved anti-fingerprint, and no effect on gloss. It provides reduced silver, aluminum oxidation and high-temperature stability. HALOX® 550 is non-flammable, pH stable, and has a low freeze point. It is a temporary rust inhibitor for cold-rolled steel, blasted steel, and aluminum. It can impart corrosion resistance to final metal rinsing solutions. The dosage level for water-based acrylic is 1-4%, alkyd is 0.5-2%, epoxy is 1-4%, urethane is 0.5-3%, hybrids & others is 0.5-4%. It has a shelf life of 12 months. view less Request Sample
