Pluriol® A 700 VP provides plasticizing functionality within the field of emulsion polymerization. Compatible with ethynically-unsaturated monomers, this readily-biodegradable comonomer efficiently reduces MFFT (minimum film formation temperatures) in formulations, decreasing the need for coalescing agents without contributing to VOC content. The low Tg monomer (-70 C) is also capable of reducing viscosity of high-solids latex formulations while maintaining expected particle sizes.
