It has mild properties and excellent compatibility, can be completely dissolved in alcohols such as ethylene glycol and slightly soluble in water. Its main active substances are benzyl alcohol and dehydroacetic acid. Dehydroacetic acid can inhibit the growth of yeasts and molds and the germination of spores, and benzyl alcohol is a broad-spectrum fungicide. The combination of the two has a synergistic effect.
