SeraSol SC 86 is a copolymer of polydimethylsiloxane and polyoxyalkaylene ether. A light and silky PEG modified silicone for use as a surface tension depressant, or emulsifier in a wide range of colour cosmetic, skin care and clear hair care applications. Good wet conditioner for shaving and hair care products. SeraSol SC 86 exhibits multifunctionality typical of organo modified siloxanes, providing characteristics typically associated with both silicone and organic based additives. It can be used with other dimethicone copolyols or organic based emulsifiers to create a variety of emulsions and enhance emulsion characteristics such as particle size and overall stability. SeraSol SC 86 exhibits pro-foaming qualities helping to stabilise foam levels and also helps provide a soft and silky skin feel.
