Crodarom® Seafoam

  • Company:

    Crodarom

  • INCI Name:

Aqua (and) Glycerin (and) Sepiolite Extract

Crodarom® Seafoam is obtained by alkaline hydrolysis of sepiolite powder followed by solubilisation in glycerin/water. Sepiolite is a clay mineral, a complex magnesium silicate neoformed in the lagoon systems. Due to its porosity, it is able to absorb liquids. This porosity and light density making it floating on the sea added to its pure white colour were worth to it the name of seafoam. It has been used in jewellery, for tobacco pipes, as a building material and sometimes as a substitute of soapstone.

It may be used in a wide variety of cosmetic applications including radiant skin care, deodorants, nude or natural make-up range, fortifying hair care, make-up removers and young skin products.
