The pigments are well distributed resulting an optimum depth of colour. Dispersion time, floatation phenomena and sedimentation are reduced and gloss is increased. Sedimentation is largely avoided. It is suitable for clear coats, direct-to-metal, latex primers, thin film coatings, acrylic emulsions, water-dispersible alkyds, alkyd emulsions, polyesters, epoxy, urethane, and high gloss coatings. It is easy to disperse, post-addable, and reduces white rust on galvanized and black rust on Galvalume™. It offers increased hydrophobicity, improved anti-fingerprint, and no effect on gloss. It provides reduced silver, aluminum oxidation and high-temperature stability. HALOX® 550 is non-flammable, pH stable, and has a low freeze point. It is a temporary rust inhibitor for cold-rolled steel, blasted steel, and aluminum. It can impart corrosion resistance to final metal rinsing solutions.
