It eliminates slight parts of humidity and prevents moisture related problems in the formulation of polyurethane coatings. Additive TI is used for dehydration of solvents, fillers, pigments and bituminous tars. It rapidly reacts with water and generates carbon dioxide and toluenesulfonamide which is generally inert towards further reaction with alkyl and aryl isocyanates, and is usually soluble in common coating solvents. This product does not cause further film yellowing. Application of Additive TI in a polyurethane coating formulation, prevents moisture-related problems such as gloss reduction, haze, yellowing and reaction foam. It can also react with other active hydrogen compounds, such as alcohols, phenols, amines, amides and so on. It contains a special combination of active ingredients with a high anti-oxidative potential. This product contains no oximes and phenolics and therefore should be a non-hazardous substitution for other commercial phenolic and oximic antioxidants. Due to the chemical basis of Ascinin® Anti Skin 0444 the specific disadvantages of other antioxidants -such as the strong drying retardation of phenolics or the toxicologic potential of oximic compounds - could be avoided. Ascinin® Anti Skin 0444 contains no oximes and phenolics and therefore should be a non-hazardous substitution for other commercial phenolic and oximic antioxidants. It is suitable for all solventborne and solvent-free oxidatively drying coatings. It might be used in clear-coats as well as in pigmented systems. This product is solved in a non-VOC solvent, so it contains a very low VOC portion and is of low odour. It is manufactured using aliphatic isocyanates; it has thus no negative influence on yellowing and chalking of coating film. Even small amounts of Borchi® Gel LW 44 bring about significant thickening of the aqueous phase. The resulting liquid is pseudoplastic, i.e. its viscosity is inversely proportional to its shear rate. Borchi® Gel LW 44 is therefore particularly suitable for low-viscosity applications such as spraying and dip-coating of waterborne and water-emulsifiable paint systems (finishing paints and primers), aqueous two-component polyurethane-based systems and two-component epoxy systems and polyester systems. lt can also be used for copolymer dispersions depending on the requirements profile. Particularly advantageous in this context is its effect on viscosity under low-shear conditions. view less
