It is a clear, yellow liquid which is used as a catalyst for promoting the cure of solvent and water based stoving finishes. The advantages compared to para-toluene sulfonic acid are improved water, saltspray and detergent resistance at lower temperatures, higher electrical resistance and less corrosion of application equipment, higher gloss of the cured paint film and better stability of the paints. view less
