ESCAT 50 is used in powder coatings to accelerate the cure of systems based on the reaction of an epoxy functional resin with a carboxyl functional curing agent. Typical systems are epoxy/polyester hybrids, epoxy/acrylic hybrids, TGIC/polyester systems and epoxy-functional acrylic/carboxyl-functional curing agent systems.
