Complete water solubility is achieved with 9% triethanolamine or 12% of a 25% ammonia solution. It improves leveling, prevents cratering and orange peel, helps substrate wetting, acts as a defoamer, and improves adhesion. Efka® 3772 N has a physical form of clear, colorless liquid. It can be used in water-based air-drying and baking enamels as well as in solvent-based industrial paints. view less

Due to its chemical structure, Perenol® F 40 modifies the surface tension of the coatings. It also eliminates or reduces cratering, fish-eyes and orange peel; improves the flow, dispersion and floating behaviour, prevents air entrapment and optimizes wetting of the substrate. Perenol® F 40 is also ideally suited to be used in the manufacture of powder coatings or binders for powder coatings. For the preparation of a master batch, it is recommended to use a mixing of 9 parts of polyester resin with 1 part Perenol® F 40. This mixture is perfectly suited for direct application in the premix and extrusion process after melting, homogenization, cooling and granulation. The drawbacks of leveling agents applied on SiO2 are avoided. In particular, pigmented and transparent powder coatings with excellent levelling properties are obtained for the production of weatherproof powder coatings. view less
