Provichem 2203 is a very effective stabiliser for vinyl acetate and acrylic dispersions, where it is introduced during the emulsion polymerisation. Additionally, it greatly enhances the viscosity of the aqueous solution in combination with xanthum gum for the recovery of viscous crude oil.
Provichem 220P retains performance at high temperature, high pressure, and high salt concentrations making it the compound of choice for oil drilling applications. For example, the required dosage of Provichem 220P, for scale inhibition in carbon dioxide miscible floods, is up to ten times lower than comparative molecules (phosphonates and acrylic acid polymers) at a typical low pH value. view less
