Maxemul surfactants have been specifically developed for providing excellent emulsion stability, improved gloss, enhanced drying time and cost saving. The alkyd emulsion used in the example is based on a soya oil based long oil alkyd with 63% oil length. The alkyd emulsion is prepared with 6% Maxemul 7201 and Maxemul 7101 in a 50:50 ratio. The obtained emulsion is used as binder for formulating a high gloss white enamel. view less
