Siltech® C-228 is a 51% active polyether siloxane copolymer that is primarily used as a leveling agent for both solvent-borne and water-borne systems. It also provides some de-foaming. It is diluted in butyl cellosolve. Siltech® C-228 is used in solvent-borne and water-borne ink and paint formulations to improve leveling. It also increases surface slip, thereby improving mar resistance and reducing the formation of Bernard cells. It can be incorporated at any production stage or added during final let-down. view less
