HALOX® 630 by ICL is a liquid organic corrosion inhibitor for solvent-based protective coatings on metal surfaces. It is an alkylammonium salt solution, a 70% active substance in xylene. It can be used in solvent-borne clear or pigmented coatings and in systems such as 2-pack epoxy systems, high solids epoxy esters, alkyds, acrylic resins, silicones, polyesters, and 2-pack polyurethane primers. It is recommended for auto refinish, OEM, DTM, industrial and marine coatings. HALOX® 630 shows superior corrosion resistance over poorly prepared surfaces, such as adherent rust or oil contamination. The dosage level of the grade is 1-3% based on the total formula weight.
