It is stabilized with a hydroquinone inhibitor so that it can be put in storage. VAM can be used in many different applications. Vinyl Acetate Monomer is used in polyvinyl acetate as an adhesive for paper, wood, non-woven fabrics, rug backing, and as a material in paint. It is used in polyvinyl alcohol as a laminating adhesive, and in emulsifying agents and films. VAM is used in vinyl acetate-vinyl chloride copolymers as packaging film, adhesives, paints, and paper coatings. In ethylene-vinyl acetate-vinyl chloride terpolymer it is used as an adhesive with water resistance and fire retardant characteristics. view less
