Partially Dehydrated Castor Oil

Partially Dehydrated Castor Oil is created when part of the chemically combined water, has been removed. Heating the oil in the presence of catalysts such as clay's and metal oxides, phosphoric acid, and sulfuric acid, is where dehydration is carried out. Partially Dehydrated Castor Oil has a characteristic odor and is a yellow oily liquid. It has an acid value of 5 mg KOH/g max and can be used as a hydrophobic and plasticizer component in paints, coatings, and moldings.
