SAFIC-CHEM TI

SAFIC-CHEM TI is a mono-functional isocyanate used in moisture-curing one or two components Paints, Adhesives, and Sealants. SAFIC-CHEM TI reacts with water, giving off carbon dioxide and resulting in the formation of reaction products (inert amide) which are soluble in conventional solvent-based paints formulations. Approximately 12g of stabilizer is theoretically required for reaction with 1g of water. The suggested use level is between 0.5% and 4.0%, for 0.05% to 0.3% moisture. Experience has shown, however, that the reaction is more effective in the presence of an excess of SAFIC-CHEM TI.
