It is used as pearlising agent in low viscosity shampoos, cleansing creams, liquid soaps and bath gels. This product is also used as an opacifier and oil-soluble emulsifier in such preparations as hand lotions and hand creams. The viscosity of the finished emulsion varies directly with the concentration of the ester but generally speaking 0.5% to 5.0% of the product may be used in hand lotions and 1.0% to 10.0% in hand creams. view less
