Brilliant Blue FCF is a reddish, blue powder and is used for coloring foods. Also known as Blue 1 or E133, Brilliant Blue FCF is a synthetic dye produced using aromatic hydrocarbons from petroleum. Blue 1 has an alkali, heat, and light stability of 5. This bright blue color is often found in ice cream, ice pops, icings, blue curacao, and blue raspberry flavored products.
