AEPD™ VOX 1000 Neutralizing Amine can help you formulate zero-VOC (< 5g/L) paints without compromising product quality. AEPD™ VOX 1000 Neutralizing Amine from ANGUS delivers all the functionality of industry standard AMPTM, has virtually no odor and is more efficient than other low-VOC alkanolamines.
Addition of AEPD™ VOX 1000 Neutralizing Amine to the grind improves pigment dispersion efficiency resulting in lower primary dispersant levels. Its high boiling point and low vapor pressure make it a great fit when formulating either low-VOC or VOC-free paint while virtually eliminating amine- or ammonia-type odors.
AEPD™ VOX 1000 Neutralizing Amine is a distinct ANGUS amino alcohol that is chemically similar to AMP (2-amino-2-methyl-1-propanol), boasting an additional hydroxyl functional group that allows for improved open time and wet-edge improvements.

ALKATERGE®-E Nonvolatile Surface Active Agent is highly soluble in most organic liquids, but is only very slightly soluble in water. Even so, a concentration of 0.001% by weight of ALKATERGE®-E in water will reduce its surface tension to about 40 dynes per centimeter. Although it does not lower the surface tension of mineral oil, the presence of 0.1% in a mineral oil reduces its interfacial tension against water.
ALKATERGE®-E will react with mineral acids to form salts, some of which are water soluble and produce stable foams. These salts of mineral acids or the salts of lower monobasic organic acids, are very effective wetting agents. Such salts in aqueous systems gradually hydrolyze the oxazoline ring to the amide structure. It forms oil-soluble soaps with the higher fatty acids. The wetting power of these salts and soaps is frequently increased by the addition of alcohols or glycols. Solutions of the salts of ALKATERGE®-E may be used as penetrants in the paper and textile industries, and in the formulation of metal cleaners. view less

ALKATERGE®-T Surface Active Agent is only slightly soluble in water. At ordinary room temperature, ALKATERGE®-T is a waxy solid which is highly soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons and lower alcohols or ketones, moderately soluble in aliphatic hydrocarbons, and miscible with most vegetable oils. In its liquid state, it is miscible with almost all organic liquids. This product is useful as a surface active agent which is indicated by the fact that 0.1% in mineral oil reduces the interfacial surface tension against water approximately 95%, or to less than 2 dynes/cm.

AMP™-75 Multifunctional Neutralizer is widely recognized as a multifunctional additive for all types of latex emulsion paints. In a formulation, AMP™ can be used as a powerful co-dispersant to prevent re-agglomeration of pigments. At the same time, it will contribute significant benefits to the overall performance of the coating.
To take full advantage of AMP™ as a co-dispersant, up to 30% of the existing dispersant solids can be replaced by an equal weight of AMP™. This generally amounts to 0.05 to 0.1 percent of AMP on the total weight of the formulation. Typical formulations require 0.1 to 0.3 percent (on total formulation weight) of AMP™ for optimum pH stability, for associative thickener neutralization, and to eliminate in-can corrosion. For control of flash rusting, an additional 0.1 to 0.2 percent (on total formulation weight) of AMP™ may be required. view less
