This soft paste has thixotropic properties in a wide range of coating systems, can be dispersed in a wide range of temperatures, and has storage stability with no seeding formation. It has no influence on inter-adhesive properties for system coatings, and improves the orientation of metallic pigments. It finds application in automotive and refinishing coating systems, in alkyd and acrylic melamine based general industrial coatings, in alkyd and polyester modified heat resistant coatings, in chlorinated rubber, wash primer, and metallic coatings and in high-build type epoxy-based heavy-duty coatings. view less

It optimises flow properties even in highly pigmented systems. In aqueous finishing enamels, a very high gloss and an extraordinary tinting strength is achieved. Results are particularly good in water-borne alkyde and polyester resins and in polyurethane emulsions. It shortens milling time as pigment agglomerates are ruptured rapidly and stabilised effectively. Hence, sedimentation and in pigment mixtures the separation of pigments respectively floating or flooding during application is prevented. Heavy pigments, which tend to separate in finished products during long storage times, can easily be stirred up. Therefore, tinting strength of the pigments is increased, and changes of colour shade even after a long time of storage do not occur. view less
