It prolongs the open time and reduces the cracking of emulsion paints, organo silicate and silicone resin based mortars. When incorporated into plasters, Loxanol® OT 5840 prolongs the workable time. This allows a uniform structure to be maintained during the application period. Loxanol® OT 5840 gives the mortar a pliable structure and also prevents cracking due to its plasticizing effect.
