Araldite® ECN 1400 Epoxy Resin

Araldite® ECN 1400 Epoxy Resin is a stable, non-foaming high performance water- based epoxy cresol novolac resindispersion. Epoxy cresol novolac (ECN) resins have more epoxy functional groups than conventional difunctional bisphenol-A based epoxy resins. The higher epoxy functionality of ECN resins provides greater cross- link density, which translates to higher temperature performance, improved chemical resistance and better adhesion properties than conventional epoxies. ECN resins can be used alone or in blends with conventional epoxy resins to upgrade the performance of the latter. ECN resins can be homopolymerized or cured with aliphatic or aromatic amines, polyamidoamines, or anhydrides. They can also be cross-linked with carboxyl functional polyesters and acrylics.
