It is a very efficient thickener for formulations with hydrochloric acid, and also can be used with a variety of other acids in the presence of sodium chloride. In addition to the efficient viscosity building, RHODATERGE® TBC 290 also provides antimicrobial action, perfume solubilization and good stability, without necessity of any additives. It is easily processable and does not need any heating or intense stirring. RHODATERGE® TBC 290 alone is sufficient for the development of various acidic formulations, but if it is necessary, the blend can be combined with different surfactants (e.g. ethoxylated alcohols, alkyl betaines, amine oxides etc.), solvents (e.g. ethanol, isopropanol, propylene glycol) or salts (e.g. sodium chloride). For faster processing, it is recommended to disperse well the blend in water first. The remaining ingredients are subsequently followed with the acid added at the end. view less
